China is E.U. member!

But have I know this from Nokia?
Today we were in Kaposvár with friends, because there's the nearest Nokia brand shop. All of us had telephone problems, a phone went out of order (its external beeper is in silence, but it works until you blow it, wow!), other need an audio adapter, I needed a new headset. Well, my friend Attila bought an audio adapter for his phone, and there was the hidden message on its cover, China is the member of European Union in secret. There were the texts on the pack: "Place of source: E.U." and "MADE IN CHINA" (click on the picture for full size).
So, welcome in E.U. , China!

A classic...

I couldn't ignore it... :-DDDDD

Earth 2007 - Honda 2007

This is not nothing! The sparrows have chriped that the Honda is prepairing a big shot, but nobody waited this. We ruin this given little blue planet slowly, but with a little attention (make us think with this kind of actions) we still can do. The designers have dreamed the Earth to the car, but everybody could have "earthdream". And see, the sponsors are standing on the side of good business like one person, and it's ok for them that their logos aren't on the car. It's not a little thing please, it hasn't happened since 30 years! Well, no stickers, but sponsorship, and the Honda pays a part of it to enviromental actions. And in the same time the www.myearthdream.com is starting, where anybody can make a vow to make the Earth a better place, and -they say so- if you pay one pound at least, then your name will be signed on the car, itself!
This action is the greatest until now, and I say here and now that the car's livery is the most radical, but the prettiest, too.

Go Honda, good luck, Earth!

Sport day+scrap iron

"Everybody needs a little move..." -as the well known slogan says.
It wasn't lack of moving today, I took part at the "Glas plant sport day". I didn't want to get up in morning, I didn't want to go there but they invited me, so...
Factory meeting, sandwich- soda happening, indoor soccer, tug of war. I didn't play soccer as much as today since about 3 years. So, of course, just gradually, the less good is much. Now it was the tug of war, one of my nails and the skin of my hand were the victims.
But no problem, it was really good to move my old bones a little...

Other...

I got a scrap-iron computer today (again) to "pleasecheckitandfixit"...
The question has came: Why people need computer if they don't know anything about it?

1 Planet - 1 Heart - 8 Million Trees

Why into the Sahara?
They say that because to fight against the deserification, counterbalance the global warming, etc. My opinion is that to get money, and to can see it from the space, too. The point is the point, good people planned for you to buy/plant tree in Niger.
Yes, to plant trees is good. You can chose tree for 10€, and even for 75€, too, if you have money. The point (the plan) is to plant 8 million trees, that people buy and plant. No, you don't need to plant it yourself, (they say) it's in the price. More: you can watch your tree as it grows by photos that they show. It's not bad as idea, it brings money for the owners, and you can believe that the tree that you see on the picture is your tree.
All right, this all maybe true, the thing is great.
Go, and buy a tree at the Tree-Nation!

But hurry, it's just 438 sold yet!

Retro - Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48K

Today I found my first computer while I was cleaning up my room. Poorly it doesn't work, but it's a sentimental value for me, so I kept it. In that time there was a friend who can fix it when it went away until he couldn't fix it anymore. Well, I found the famous Spectrum, again. How many times I played with it until it gave up! With present eyes its performance is equal with zero, but in that time (in the early '80s) it was the miracle, itself!
The details:

Year of issue: 1982 - I was 4years old...
CPU: Z80A (at 3.5MHz) - my present phone is at 107MHz...
RAM: 48KB - It was enough for everything!
ROM: 16KB
Text resolution: 32x24 (16 colours) - 768 characters filled a whole screen...
Graphical resolution: 256x192 (16 colours) - my phone can 176x220 with 4096 colours
Audio: 1 (!) channel audioBeeper (10 octaves and 10+ semitones via internal speaker) - 5.1 wasn't then...
Storage: External cassette tape recorder - to load a game took about 4 minutes, microdrive was too expensive for us, out of reach...

Think about why I was cheerful in that time with this machine!
And today there are little boys, the PS3 is not enough for them...

But then, too! I downloaded an emulator, some games, and I left the blue-yellow lines to take me away, again. "Piiiiiiiiiiiii-pipp piiiiiiiiiii-piiiiiii..." :-D
Are you interesting in the gameworld of that times?

Fruit day and DVD cover

Today was a fruit day at work, one of my collegues has bought many kind of exotic fruits. There were the papaya, the avocado, the litchi, and the khaki fruit, too. We made opinions about all of them (there was who had awful opinion about every tried fruits), and at the end we planted their seeds.
The result:
Papaya: Not bad, I knew it before, too.
Avocado: We eat it, eat it, but why? Because it hasn't taste alone, without spices.
Litchi: We like it...
Khaki: That, too.

I'm curious about the seeds, will they grow?

Different: The DVD cover (also self designed) of the 2005 greek trip has been finished. (up)

Two left legs, show the cloven hoof

Two teams, two engines, one owner, one main designer= 4 isomorphic cars.
The STR02 wants to make us blind, the Renault engined RB3 got Ferrari engine. "The two cars are not similar." Yes, not, because it's not similar what is same. The new car introduced today, it seems to construct the new series of the car took this long time at Red Bull (minimal differences between the cars because of the different engines). They presented today photos that don't show the whole car clearly.

With these cars there will be 6 Mercedes cars on the grid per races (!)

There's resurrection! (2)

It seems, the subject has returned.
As I wrote in my second post, my photocam just started to work, again, now it's my old phone.
For about a year it just turned on with the backlight on, and from that I could turn it off just by removing the battery.
To prove that it's not working I showed it to my friend CsaZo, and it started to work...
It resurrected, too...

Contribute!

"O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring;
Of the endless trains of the faithless--of cities fill'd with the foolish;
Of myself forever reproaching myself, (for who more foolish than I, and who more faithless?)
Of eyes that vainly crave the light--of the objects mean--of the struggle ever renew'd;
Of the poor results of all--of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around me;
Of the empty and useless years of the rest--with the rest me intertwined;
The question, O me! so sad, recurring--What good amid these, O me, O life?

Answer.

That you are here--that life exists, and identity;
That the powerful play goes on, and you will contribute a verse."

                                                                    Walt Whitman - O Me! O Life!

So grab a pen, think a big, and contribute!

Snickers

Fuuuuuuuuuuuu...
How will I eat Snickers after this?

I just realized that (there's a half Sinckers paper on my desk) that they sell them in two pieces nowaday to don't make it happen :-D
By the way, this ad. had been broadcasted in the half time of Super Bowl in the US, and since that they canceled it from the program.

Screw up that is good!

The woodcutters arrived.
I'm watching the barbarism since three years that they make to the trees of the city, they mutilate the poor trees so seriously that they can't get over for 3-4 years. They call it "keeping them well", and they pruning the trees. It wouldn't be bad if they pruning them, but it looks that the only question was on the entrance examination that "Can you turn on a chainsaw?" But it was the only question, they have never taken care of any plants, that's sure. It's useless to talk of sense to nice, they don't have it. Or they hate their job, and do it like this. Could anyone explain that where's the logic in that they cut the trees by 30-40cms from the trunk? Yes, really, and it's good for the tree, it will be healthy because of it! (and will look nice, too, hah?)
Well, they arrived today, and started to cut the pines (grown in peace since 18years) in the front of our house. Then they chafed when my father asked them to "go away, but fast!" They told that they cut down the lower boughs, because they cover the streetlights. -"Then you should cut the trees, buddy, because the upper boughs cover it!" Then the good man wanted to make us frightened that "he will inform against us well". Yes, a simple woodcutter is an official person, too, right? Anybody could come, but we won't leave the trees that the first residents have planted.
At the end they went away, forever, I hope.

A nice looking garbage car

Our next model, the Spyker F8-VII has shown itself to us today. "In the name of the model the 'F' is the serial number, means that the newest roadcars will be the series 'E'. The '8' is the number of the cylinders in the engine, the 'VII' means the year as it was on the planes that the Spyker made in the history." (Source: A5.hu) Its colour is like a garbage car (see the McLaren test car before the season in 2006), but it looks pretty then, too. Dutch-orange. Or because of the Ferrari engine, but it's not Ferrari, so the colour is lighter, and not red :-)
The point is the point: rookie team with old tradition, nice looking car with good engine.
We will see the more.

Elsewhere

There's time when you would like to be elsewhere. Have you ever felt it? I'm sitting in my seat here, listening to the song Client - Radio (Rex the dog instrumental), and a feeling is coming, that I always describe as "I could be so many places, and could do so many things, but just not here, and not this!" But I do this. I'm writing a post, but meanwhile I'm not here. There's somebody somewere, wants to meet the other one. There's somebody somewhere, sleeping. Dreaming? Maybe. I hope. And I hope is happy in dream, too, and when wakes up smiles a lot. Because I love like this. This, like exists. And there's somebody somewhere who just thinking of...
Where this song from? Clearly haphazardly. I was reading here, and reading there, and this is playing when I arrived here.

"There's no musis on my radio..." They don't sing this now, but I know.
No problem, I love.

Remember...

02. of February, 2003 is one of the darkest day of space exploration.
It has been four years ago when the Space Shuttle Columbia has broken in pieces while its STS-107 mission were coming home, and lost 7 people. They worked for humankind, we were waiting them home, but nothing left behind them but shock, and deep silence.
Remember them:

Rick D. Husband, Commander
William C. McCool, Pilot
Michael P. Anderson, Payload Commander
David M. Brown, Mission Specialist 1
Kalpana Chawla, Mission Specialist 2
Laurel Blair Salton Clark, Mission Specialist 4
Ilan Ramon, Payload Specialist 1
