The semi-automatic flourescent tube was "being invented" today.
I was talking with my collegue in our dressing room when a lighting tube fell down with loud rumbling. As we found out, it was mounted wrong to the ceiling, and it started its way down from there. Jumped down from the ceiling nicely, quietly (no, LOUDLY), ripped out its wires, and smashed to its switch on the wall, turned itself on.
I'm working on the fully automated version that can climb back to its place after this.
Waiting ideas about its construction!
